The PFPA Needs Your Help!
The PFPA provides a platform for amateur performance combined with an educational element from professional musicians, dancers and speakers.
It is run by volunteers who take on various roles.
We are currently seeking a volunteer who will be prepared to run the Brass Section as the previous incumbent has moved on. Ideally you will be an experienced musician in that genre of instrument. The role will involve setting the syllabus (usually heavily based on previous syllabi), arranging the entrants into a programme, then organising and running the day(s) of the performances. Needless to say that there will be a lot of support from the current section leaders.
We are also seeking a volunteer who will be prepared to run the Piano Section as the current incumbent will be retiring this year. As above, you will be an experienced musician in that genre of instrument.
We are also in need of an admin assistant to help some of the admin functions of the festival. Ideally someone who is familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
We also welcome other helpers to ensure the smooth running of the whole Festival: admin support for adjudicator, door & hall stewards, welcoming performers and selling tickets and programmes.
