The PFPA provides a platform for amateur performance combined with an educational element from professional musicians, dancers and speakers.

It is run by volunteers who take on various roles.

We are currently seeking volunteers who will be prepared to run the Brass, Strings and Woodwind Sections as the previous incumbents have moved on. Ideally you will be an experienced musician in that genre of instrument. The role will involve setting the syllabus (usually heavily based on previous syllabi), arranging the entrants into a programme, then organising and running the day(s) of the performances. Needless to say that there will be a lot of support from the current section leaders.

We are also in need of a secretary and treasurer to handle much of the admin functions of the festival. A musical background is not necessary.

We also welcome other helpers to ensure the smooth running of the whole Festival: admin support for adjudicator, door & hall stewards, welcoming performers and selling tickets and programmes.

If you can spare a couple of hours (or more!) during the Festival, please contact
