We are well on our way to completing the Syllabus for 2027. As last year there will only be a printed version for those who request one by writing to the Friends Secretary at 34 Woodlands Avenue, Emsworth, or by emailing the Secretary at secretary@pfpa.org.uk.

The syllabus will be published online on Monday 31st August with the closing date for entries on 16th November. Note that entries for the Dance section will be submitted by the teachers as advised by the Head of Dance.

We urgently need someone to take over the Vocal Section. The current incumbent is able to assist with the admin but will not be available to run the section.

Please contact our Chair at chair@pfpa.org if you can help.

Thank you

The PFPA provides a platform for amateur performance combined with an educational element from professional musicians, dancers and speakers.

It is run by volunteers who take on various roles.

We are currently seeking a volunteer who will be prepared to run the Vocal Section as the previous incumbent has moved on. Ideally you will be an experienced musician. The role will involve setting the syllabus (usually heavily based on previous syllabi), arranging the entrants into a programme, then organising and running the day(s) of the performances. Needless to say that there will be a lot of support from the current section leaders.

We are also in need of a website manager familiar with WordPress and an admin assistant to help some of the admin functions of the festival, Ideally someone who is familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.

We also welcome other helpers to ensure the smooth running of the whole Festival: admin support for adjudicator, door & hall stewards, welcoming performers and selling tickets and programmes.

If you can spare a couple of hours (or more!) during the Festival, please contact

chair@pfpa.org.uk
