Special Opportunities
For Festival Performers in 2025
During this Festival, the Management of the Portsmouth Festival of Performing Arts will be looking for a number of talented performers whom it can recommend for the following exciting opportunities. Those chosen will be invited to take part in the events detailed below, which are designed to develop musicianship and performance skills and to widen experience.
THE PORTS FEST RECITAL PRIZE 2026
Offered by PortsFest
This allows an outstanding soloist or ensemble to perform their début recital.
Preference for this opportunity will be given to performers aged 21 years and under.
CONCERTO AWARD
Offered by Solent Symphony Orchestra
The prize is awarded to a PFPA prize-winner of the opportunity to perform with the Orchestra in its Spring concert in 2026.
Sponsorship to attend the European Youth Summer Music School
The Milton Glee Choir and the Portsmouth Music Festival will choose two young musicians from this Festival to be sponsored to attend the European Youth Summer Music School in July/August 2026.
